Summer lovin’, having some fun…
How to challenge yourself
The last few months have been a whirlwind ride of challenges, self-discovery, and newfound inspiration. Things that helped? Fully embracing my love for fashion, food, and oh, a wedding! Emerging from a creative slump isn’t always easy, but there are things that can help.
Imagine this: the dance floor that once felt like my kingdom now seemed like a daunting task. The beats I once crafted with love felt convoluted and uninspired. It was time to hit the pause button. I allowed myself to step back, reassess, and understand the roots of my creative burnout. During this break, I realized that my love for fashion, exploring new cuisines, and traveling were not just hobbies but integral parts of who I am. So, I embraced them all, mixing their essence into my music and style.
What else helped me?
Being able to challenge myself with those things I love.
First, I focused on mastering my craft further.
To challenge myself and evolve as an artist, I decided to delve into the technical aspects of music production. Audio engineering classes opened up a world of possibilities for me. Learning how to manipulate sound and create unique textures breathed new life into my sets. It was like discovering a secret code to unlock untapped creativity within me. Shout out to Point Blank Music School where I am currently enrolled in the Mixing & Mastering Award program!
Next, I continued delving into my musical curiosity.
The excitement of curating my weekly radio show, Mood Swing, and connecting with a broader audience is always so exhilarating. This space became my secret haven to experiment, share my stories, and introduce my listeners to the best underground house music they never knew they needed. I’m also stoked to announce the much-anticipated release of Daniel325 Delusional Records. Listen to it on Spotify, here.
And finally, finding love…in many places.
For those that don’t know, I recently got married! During my journey of rediscovery, love found me unexpectedly. As I embarked on the journey of marriage, wedding planning consumed my life for a while. While it had its stressful moments, the experience gave me a fresh perspective on balancing life's demands and nurturing my passion for music. It also gave me the chance to explore my other creative passions with fashion and food…because you know this bride was anything but basic! Traveling to Medellin for my bachelorette party, and then honeymooning in the South of France and Monaco was everything my creative soul needed to explore, and more. From my tastebuds to my Lora Piana soles.
What’s the moral of this story?

I can't wait to share more music and personal moments with you all, and I hope my tale resonates with those facing their own creative hurdles. We're in this together, a community of underground house music aficionados, always ready to groove and inspire each other.
